Inside, the external gear pair runs on sleeve bearings between pressure-balanced thrust plates, so the assembly stays rigid and keeps its volumetric efficiency as pressure rises and as the unit wears. In the HSC Compact and standard body designs, the 24.03 cm³/rev, 29.06 cm³/rev, and 43.98 cm³/rev gear sets operate between 350 and 3,000 r/min under continuous high-pressure duty cycles.
