Pump Installation Specifications

• Mounting: Flange mounting. Ensure the mounting flange provides perfect alignment between the drive shaft and the pump shaft. Always use elastic couplings — never rigid connections — and do not transmit radial or axial loads onto the pump shaft.

• Tank capacity: Sized according to the operating conditions; we recommend approximately 3 times the circulating oil volume to avoid fluid overheating. Install a heat exchanger if necessary.

• Piping: Use pipes with a nominal diameter not smaller than the pump ports. Keep the pipe run as short as possible and minimise hydraulic restrictions. Fit a short flexible hose section to reduce vibration transmission. All return lines must terminate below the minimum oil level.

• Filtration: Full-flow filtration is recommended. Only coarse strainers are permitted on the pump suction side.

• Hydraulic fluid: Use mineral-oil-based hydraulic fluids conforming to ISO/DIN standards. Recommended viscosity range 12–100 cSt (up to 750 cSt permitted). Avoid mixing different oil types.

• Cold start: Minimum inlet pressure 0.5 bar absolute; maximum fluid viscosity 2000 cSt; minimum temperature −40 °C. Limit speed and pressure until the fluid warms up.

• Storage: Store in a dry environment. Maximum storage time 24 months; ideal temperature 5–20 °C.
